D365 2026 rw 2 Business Central 29
Business Central version 29
Dynamics 365 Business Central 29 (BC29), released as part of Dynamics 365 2026 Release Wave 2, continues Microsoft's semi-annual release cycle.
The new version of Business Central is expected to launch, as usual, in October 2026. However, new features will be rolled out gradually from October 2026 through April 2027, when Business Central 30 is expected to be released.

The new version of Business Central once again focuses on deeper AI integration, including expanded Copilot capabilities, more advanced AI agents, enhanced Supply Chain Management (SCM) and warehouse management, as well as strengthened global and local compliance features.
New Features in BC29 (Dynamics 365 2026 Release Wave 2)
The Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Version 29 (2026 Release Wave 2) update marks an important milestone with the permanent retirement of SOAP web services for Microsoft UI pages, completing the transition to modern OData v4 REST APIs.
Although Microsoft will publish the complete list of new features closer to general availability, we already know that BC29 will place a strong emphasis on autonomous AI agents and intelligent business processes.
Some of the most important new features in Business Central 29 include:
Multi-channel Order Management
The upcoming release expands order processing automation beyond sales quotes by introducing integrated B2B order processing through email, Microsoft Teams, Shopify, and EDI.
Enhanced AI Capabilities
Business Central 29 introduces more advanced AI agents, predictive sales opportunity assessments, and intelligent recommendations that improve productivity and support better business decisions.
Complete Retirement of Legacy SOAP Architecture
Continuing the deprecation that began in Business Central 26, SOAP web service endpoints for Microsoft UI pages will be permanently removed in Business Central 29. OData v4 REST APIs will become the recommended and fully supported standard for integrations.
