Business Central 27 D365 2025 release wave 2

In October, Microsoft will start rolling out Dynamics 365 2025 release wave 2, where Business Central 27 is released. As has been the case with recent updates, the major focus area in this version is AI. Business Central 27 improves existing AI features and introduces completely new AI-based features for several business areas.


BC 2025 release wave 2 overview

Business Central is an all-in-one cloud-based ERP solution developed by Microsoft and part of the Dynamics 365 business application platform. Business Central is extremely flexible, scalable, and adaptable, and offers a wide range of features, making it ideal for companies that need to simultaneously manage finance, supply chain, manufacturing, projects, and more while being able to scale and adapt their business.

Every year, Microsoft releases upgrades to all of the apps that make up Dynamics 365. The upgrades are released in conjunction with the rollouts of the two annual Dynamics 365 release waves, which run from April to September and from October to March.

The updated AI agents in Business Central 27 are even better at understanding and performing detailed and complex business tasks in the Business Central environment

So whether it’s creating insightful reports, automating routine business processes, or assisting you as a user in real time, the optimized AI agents in Business Central 27 will improve business user productivity in all areas of business operations.

One of the most notable features of the AI agents in Business Central is their ability to optimize accounts payable processes. The agents can create purchase invoices directly from PDF files, making the process more efficient and intuitive for the user. Agents also play a critical role in identifying the right accounts.

Application Improvements

As usual, Microsoft is also introducing a number of application improvements in this upgrade, this time with a special focus on manufacturing, with a special emphasis on quality management and subcontracting companies.
