The year 2023 is almost over and we would like to take this opportunity to wish all our customers and business partners a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

A busy and eventful 2023

Our consultants have also been busy in 2023 implementing new solutions and solving tasks that will contribute to our customers being able to run their business more smoothly and efficiently. This is important, as companies' ability to optimize the operation of their business is often closely linked to their ability to compete and gain market share. We look forward to continuing the good cooperation in the new year.

New Business Central versions

Microsoft also continued in 2023 their release plan for Dynamics 365 Business Central, so this year too, as part of the Dynamics 365 upgrade waves in April and October, two new versions of Business Central, BC22 and BC23, were released.

The upgrades in BC version 22 made Business Central even more integrable, more user-friendly and faster to get started with, for both new and experienced users.

With Business Central 23, Microsoft improved, among other things, the AI-driven Dynamics 365 Copilot, optimized the integration to Power Platform, added new supply chain functions and optimized performance.

New possibilities with AI

The big topic of conversation this year has been AI, and with good reason. The emergence of AI, not least here in 2023, has accelerated the digital transformation at an impressive speed.

The ongoing development within AI creates completely new and unique business opportunities, but at the same time places great demands on companies that they must be prepared for change and adaptation. Because the new technology is already in full swing revolutionizing companies across sectors, ushering in a new era marked by profound changes in innovation, efficiency and unprecedented opportunities.

And we are currently only at the beginning of the evolution of AI technology that will continue to automate, optimize and reshape significant parts of the economy as we know it today for a long time to come. Therefore, it is crucial for business leaders and other decision-makers to understand the latest developments in artificial intelligence and thus be at the forefront of technological developments.

Invest in new solutions despite challenges

2023 went better than many economists had expected, but despite that, there are reports that an economic downturn awaits in 2024. Because despite the fact that the central banks have stopped raising interest rates, there is an expectation among some economists that the interest rate increases will seriously start to affect the economy in 2024, and there are warnings of an upcoming recession in the US and Europe in 2024.

For many companies, recession and times of crisis can actually be a good opportunity to invest in new technology and new solutions. Because a company's competitiveness can consist of many elements, not least new technology and operational and business optimization.

It is said that Christmas is the children's party, which fortunately is also the case for the vast majority of children, but unfortunately not for all. And not least in the rush of Christmas, it can be easy to overlook the children for whom Christmas is not a time of joy and excess.
