Faster onboarding

Many companies that have decided on a Business Central online cloud installation, have an expectation that the solution can be easily connected to other business applications, it could be productivity services such as banking, payroll and electronic invoicing providers, as built-in cloud connection to this type of services today is expected by a modern business application in the cloud. Connectivity options for this type of business app providers are already largely available in Business Central, but have so far been more difficult to locate, not least because Business Central customers have to manually search AppSource for the right solution that suits their business. Therefore, Business Central users have so far encountered problems when they hoped that the expectations for their cloud solution investment would be realized. With Dynamics 365 2022 release wave 2, Microsoft delivers better transparency, installation and setup of these types of apps, which means that unnecessary friction is eliminated and that the Business Central customers' businesses can more quickly become productive and shift focus to the often more complex areas of onboarding and implementation.

In Business Central 2022 release wave 2, a completely new in-product tool is added which will make it easy for companies to find relevant connection apps that are available in AppSource. Microsoft also makes both installing and setting up these apps easy and straightforward. Microsoft starts with the apps that offer online banking connection.

The business apps that may be allowed to be displayed will have certain requirements imposed by Microsoft. These can be, for example, usage and quality criteria, as well as a minimum set of functionality and options..
